Wakaf Heritage Trail: Video Competition
Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility:
- The competition is open to all individuals aged 15 and above.
- Employees and affiliates of Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis) and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
2. Submission Guidelines:
- The video must be original, created solely by the participant and/or their group, and should not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
- The video must feature at least 4 Wakaf properties in Singapore.
- The video must not exceed 5 minutes.
- Videos must be uploaded to a recognized social media platform (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) with privacy settings set to “public.”
- The video can be presented in any language but must be subtitled in English if the audio is in a language other than English.
- The video must adhere to the platform’s content guidelines and should not contain any offensive or inappropriate material.
3. Intellectual Property:
- By submitting a video, participants grant Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and distribute the video in any media for promotional purposes.
- Entries should not infringe any Intellectual Property Rights. If entries are using copyright music, video or images under licence or permission, these must be clearly stated.
4. Judging Criteria:
- Videos will be judged based on creativity, originality, adherence to the theme, and overall impact.
- The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Prizes:
- Winners will be notified via email and announced on www.wakaf.sg.
- Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
6. Disqualification:
- Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis) reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms or is deemed inappropriate.
- Plagiarism or any form of cheating will result in disqualification.
7. Liability:
- Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis) is not responsible for any technical issues that prevent submissions from being received or evaluated.
- By participating, participants agree to release Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis) from any liability related to the competition or the use of their submission.
8. Privacy:
- Personal information collected during the competition will only be used for the purposes of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties without the participant’s consent.
9. Amendments:
- Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis) reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
10. Governing Law:
- The competition and these terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
